Which is better: aluminum or diamond?
More than 60 percent of Americans now believe that aluminum is the better metal for a home, according to a new survey, according an analysis by The Hill.
The poll found that 58 percent of respondents said aluminum is more durable, while 30 percent said it was more durable than diamond, and 11 percent said diamond is better than aluminum.
The survey of 1,000 adults was conducted on April 27 and 28.
The poll was conducted by Edison Research and is considered accurate within 3.5 percentage points.
The findings come amid a global push to replace steel with aluminum in the United States.
Aluminum has been the most popular material for the first time in the last 20 years, according a survey by the National Association of Manufacturers last year.
A new study released on Thursday by the Pew Research Center found that the share of Americans who believe aluminum is better for a house increased from 18 percent to 22 percent between 2005 and 2020.
